"Until We Run into Again" (さらば くう …また まで , Saraba Gokū… Mata Au Hi made , lit. "Goodbye, Goku… Until the Day We Meet Once again") is the seventeenth and final episode of the Shadow Dragon Saga, the threescore-fourth overall and final episode of Dragon Brawl GT, and the last episode of the original Dragon Ball anime trilogy itself. This episode outset aired in Japan on November xix, 1997. Its original American airdate was January 29, 2005.

Summary

Goku uses energy from all around the universe and kills Omega Shenron with the Super Ultra Spirit Flop. The rest of the Z-Fighters come running to notice Goku unconscious on the footing, when all of a sudden, the original Shenron appears without being summoned, something that has never happened before.

Shenron so heals Goku, and informs him and the other Z-Fighters that he volition not exist able to grant whatever wishes for a long time due to everything that has happened involving the World Dragon Assurance and their negative energy, but Goku asks him if he volition grant just 1 "for old times' sake". He asks Shenron if he can bring anybody killed by Super 17 and the Shadow Dragons back to life. Shenron grants the wish. Anybody begins to worry that Goku is leaving them again.

Shenron asks Goku if he will come along and Goku climbs on Shenron's dorsum. Afterwards Goku climbs on, a recovering Vegeta runs over and asks Goku where he is going. A moment later, Vegeta realizes that Goku is going to train with Shenron and help fulfill this wish. Earlier going, Goku tells Vegeta that he is at present Earth'southward protector, and tells him that the planet'southward safety is in his hands now. Goku and Shenron go flying, and the Dragon Balls begin circulating around Goku. Chi-Chi tells Goku to be home in time for dinner, but Goku and Shenron fly off. Bulma begins to think her first time meeting Goku when she was only sixteen years old while she was searching for the Dragon Balls and says that she is going to miss him.

Gohan, Videl and Chi-Chi render to their homes. Goten and Gohan try to condolement Chi-Chi past telling her that Goku always comes back for dinner. Pan asks Trunks if the Dragon Balls will e'er come up back. Trunks talks to Pan about the Dragon Balls, and is confident that they will again come back one day. Pan looks worried, and she then stumbles upon Goku'due south Gi. Vegeta tells her to accept good care of information technology and then flies off, leaving Pan alone. Pan, with tears in her optics, wonders if Goku volition ever come up back during her lifetime.

A monster in Hell

Goku asks the dragon to finish for a moment at Kame House to encounter Krillin, who was one of the many people revived by the final wish. They start talking about the past and finish up having a petty play-fight. Krillin wins and and so Goku disappears. Primary Roshi thank you Shenron for the Dragon Balls. Goku also visits Piccolo, who is now in Hell keeping watch over everyone there. Goku tells Piccolo that he will become out of Hell someday and so leaves without saying goodbye. Many people see Goku with Shenron, including Yamcha and Puar who are fixing their automobile, likewise as Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu, who are busy training.

Goku, feeling tired, lies downwards on Shenron's back. The Dragon Balls enter Goku's body, with the Four-Star Ball going into his heart, and he and so disappears. Shenron lets out one terminal, mighty roar before vanishing.

100 years later, the 64th Earth Martial Arts Tournament is underway. A now-elderly Pan is the last living Z-Fighter, every bit all the rest have died of natural causes. She begins running to where he was at, and the scene goes back to the tournament, where Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. are still fighting.

The people are shocked at the winner of the tournament, but it is never shown who wins. Pan keeps running until she is outside the stadium, but Goku is nowhere to be seen. Pan begins thinking "Pan, you old goat, you lot must be seeing things again..." (or "Y'all were here, weren't you Grandpa Goku?" in the original Japanese version). Goku is then shown walking through the crowd. A long flashback of Goku's life is shown, with many of the prominent moments of the Dragon Ball serial being played. Subsequently the flashback ends, Goku catches his Power Pole and flies off on the Flying Nimbus cloud. Goku'due south terminal words are "Til nosotros see again, guys!".
